CUSTOM ROM FOR REDMI 1S
For installing custom rom on your Redmi 1s you need to root your device. Dont worry i am writing step by step procedure to how to root your redmi 1s. If you follow my instructions you will be able to successfully root your deivce.
- To get started, download file ‘update.zip‘ and save it on your computer.
- Next, download ‘SuperSU.zip‘ and save it on your PC as well. Once you have downloaded both the files, connect your device to the computer using original USB Data cable and transfer the files to the SD card of Redmi 1S.
- Now, go to updater app -> options menu -> reboot to recovery. You will renter the recovery mode.
- In recovery menu, choose English. (Use volume buttons to navigate and Power button to select).
- Choose ‘Apply Updates‘ (or something similar to this). Doing this will automatically update the device using the update.zip file from the SD card.
- Now, reboot the device.
- Again go to Updater app and then Recovery Menu.
- Now, you will load in Philz Recovery. Choose ‘install zip from external _sd‘ and navigate to the ‘SuperSU.zip‘. This will install SuperSU to your phone.
- After completing, reboot the system and say Yes for fixing the recovery (if asked).
- You are done with rooting your Redmi 1S.
UNROOT REDMI 1SStep 1. Go to Security -> Permission and deactivate Root permission
Step 2. Download the file UnRootNative_Redmi1S.zip ( Mirror Link ) to your PC and move the file on your phone SD card with the help of USB cable. And After that RENAME the UnRootNative_Redmi1S.zip to update.zip.
Step 2. Disconnect your Redmi 1S properly from USB and boot into Mi-Recovery (To do this launch the Updater app, press the menu/options button and from the menu choose ‘Reboot to recovery mode‘)
Step 3. In the Mi-recovery select and confirm ‘English’ (or Chinese if you are capable to understand)
Step 4. Select and confirm ‘Install update.zip to System’, this will take one second. After that select and confirm ‘Reboot’
Enjoy your unrooted Redmi 1S (MIUI version is back to xx.0, permission cannot be.
